JONAH GAVI
SCHWARTZ

What's up!
My name is Jonah Gavi Schwartz! I was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland and have grown up performing with theater companies throughout the D.C. Metro Area. After graduating as valedictorian of my high school class, I went on to pursue my BFA in Musical Theatre at Penn State University, where I graduated in May 2024. Some of my favorite Penn State credits include playing Charlie in Brigadoon, and performing in the first production of tony-nominated composer Joe Iconis’s Family Album. I’m also grateful for the opportunity to have worked at some cool regional venues, including my performances as Huckleberry Finn in Adventure Theatre & Lyric Theatre Oklahoma's world premiere production of Huck Finn’s Big River (Helen Hayes Nomination - Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical), The Last Grove - an off-Broadway musical workshop conceived by the Atlantic Theatre Company (writer and performer), Moontime at The Kennedy Center, and most recently Rock of Ages at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in New Jersey!
In my free time, I love writing poetry, running outdoors, watching queer coming of age movies, making lists, applying ample sunscreen, shopping for stickers, counting my freckles, and cooking a mean spinach artichoke dip.
